KENDALLVILLE — Bullying is a big problem - one that can affect a child's emotional and educational well-being.

Children in grades four through eight can learn how to deal with bullies using Verbal Judo at the Kendallville Public Library's Self Defense class on Monday, Aug. 2, at 4 p.m.

Fifth Degree Black Belt Zach Hayden of Hayden's ATA will teach students how Verbal Judo can help diffuse a tense situation, without physical violence.

But physical violence is also a threat - so students need to learn how to defend themselves. At this class, they'll also learn basic self defense techniques to escape a dangerous situation.
